Lisbon, Portugal

Why is Lisbon Worth Visiting?

Lisbon or known as Lisboa is the Capital of Portugal with over 2,000,000 of the population. It is estimated that over 20 million people fly in and out of Lisbon airport annually. I can see that visiting Lisbon is a must because it has a lot of history to share. You will enjoy Lisbon day and especially at night.

  • The popular Tram 28

What I really love there is their way of transportation, they got underground trains (metro), bus (autocarro) and my favorite one is their tram (eletrico). I swear that you should step in and ride to enjoy and experience this "tram 28". This famous tram travels from Martim Moniz to Campo de Ourique and passes through some popular tourist areas such as Graca, Alfama, Baixa Chiado, and Estrela.

  • Arco da Rua Augusta

The Arco da Rua Augusta is a stone, triumphal arch-like, this is a historical building and also a visitor attraction in Lisbon, Portugal, that is located on the Praça do Comércio. It was built to commemorate the city's reconstruction after the 1755 earthquake. Near here you will find a Portuguese restaurant that you will definitely enjoy.

  • Belem Tower

The Belem Tower is Lisbon's most famous landmark, standing in the middle of the Tagus River. This place has a great history that surely you want to know. Near the Belem tower, you will also find the Jéronimos Monastery and Padrão dos Descobrimentos and the famous Pastéis de Belém,

  • The famous Pastéis de Belém

Buying "Pastéis de Belém" is really worth it even though outside Pasteis de Belem is a huge crowd of pastry fans looking confused and hungry, and not sure where to line up. There's a lot of people wanting to buy it because it's freaken delicious.

  • Sintra, Portugal

While you're staying in Lisbon you should also try to visit the Sintra, Portugal. This is a longtime royal sanctuary, its forested terrain is studded with pastel-colored villas and palaces. Sintra's most iconic landmarks include the medieval Castle of the Moors, the romanticist Pena National Palace, and the Portuguese Renaissance Sintra National Palace.
